iPhone 4 and Droid X comparison

MotorolaWith two of the most high-profile smartphones – the Apple iPhone 4 and the Motorola Droid X – having being introduced within a day of each other last week, comparisons between the features of the two handsets were only bound to crop up!

A broad comparison of the features of both the handsets reveals that neither of them can be considered a clear winner above the other – both have some outstanding features. While both the handsets support 720p video recording, the iPhone 4 is capable of recording 30 frames per second, and also boasts built-in video editing features.

In terms of size, the 5.0-inch high, 2.6-inch wide and 0.4-inch thick Motorola Droid X is pitched against the 4.5-inch high, 2.3-inch wide and 0.37-inch thick Apple iPhone 4. iPhone 4G preorder hits 600,000, Company pauses sales

Apple Inc. said iPhone 4G hits 600,000 early orders yesterday, a record, leading to their system crash , thus forcing carrier AT&T Inc. to halt sales of the device before its June 24 release.

The number of preorders was the largest Apple has taken in a single day, surpassing its expectations. AT&T and Apple started accepting orders for the phone yesterday, with AT&T selling out all the iPhones it had allocated for early ordering.

AT&T said, yesterday was the busiest online sales day in its history. It will suspend orders for the phone indefinitely, depending on how soon it can refill its inventory. The iPhone has become Apple’s top selling product, which accounted for 40 percent of revenue last quarter.
